ONW Procedures Video

Coming Up With Our Procedure

The very first thing we had to do when new stated this project was figure out which ONW procedure we should do. We didn't want to something boring, because we did not want to make our audience bored. So we decided to make a video about not standing in the go zones. As soon as we got that idea we realized every other group in the room also had that idea so we had to come up with something else. After about ten minutes of bouncing ideas back and forth we decided to make about now abusing your planner. We decided to make the boring procedure more fun by making the video itself funny.

Pre-Shooting

Before we could shoot our video we had to do a few things. First thing we did was we came up with a story board. The story board helped us figure out our setting and it helped us figure out what we were doing. We had a lot of ides, so many ideas we couldn't fit all of them onto the storyboard. We had to create a much shorter version of what we originally wanted. After finishing our storyboards the next thing we had to do was create a script. The script was really bad. If I could I would change the way we did the script, we ended up. not even using the script in the end. I would try and make it better and more useful if I could change it. After we made the script and and the story board we were ready t shoot.

Shooting

We shot for two days. The first day we barely had any time to shoot because we couldn't figure out how to work the equipment. We couldn't get the white balance to work and the tripod was difficult to manage. We shot so little on the first day we didn't even use the footage from that day. The second day was the day we did the most work. We found an empty classroom downstairs, and we asked the teacher if we could shoot in that classroom. We filmed our video the whole block hour I took the main lead getting the shots and adjusting the camera. Taya also helped me move the equipment. I almost dropped the camera several times without her I wouldn't have been able to do it. I learned that its good to be able to accept others help because it makes things much much easier.  We filmed all the scenes we needed to film and even got some extra footage. We finished filming about 10 minutes before the our was over and we turned in our gear early and we were ready to edit the next day.

Editing

I didn't edit for very long. We had so many clips it was really difficult to fit it all into a 30 second video. I found that very challenging, but I really liked the way we filmed our video. I want to keep the same filming style for the future, it makes it much easier. It also makes the video look very nice! The editing experience was also a little difficult due to all of the extra clips but I figured it out.

E-Comm Guarantees

I used all of the guarantees when I was making this video. I used my technical skills when I was using the camera. I also used it when I was editing my video and importing and exporting it. I used communication by communicating to my teammates and listening to them as well. That also ties into collaboration because we collaborated and communicated to get our final product. I used leadership by taking the lead when setting up the camera for each and every shot. That also ties into collaboration because Taya helped me with that as well. We used project management by sticking to our schedule and filming and editing on time.

Conclusion

I got a lot from the experience. I will use the same communication skills for the next project I do in e-Comm. If I do that then the next project I do will be fairly simple. I think this project was really easy and fin. I think the concept itself is a little boring but other than that I liked it.
