ONW 1 in 2000 Interview

Pre-Producion

Our concept was to interview Noelle Chism about to her trip to South Dakota. We all compared stories of what we did this summer and hers was the most interesting and exciting so we choose to interview her. The very first thing we did was assign roles, I was the interviewer so I asked the questions. On the first day we started our rough draft of our story board. On our rough draft we didn't have many different angles but that was okay since it was an interview. We also came up with twenty one interview questions to make Noelle. It was really hard to come up with these questions because we did not really know what she had done in South Dakota yet, since we had not interviewed her. Despite that we created the twenty one interview questions. After that we got everything okayed and we were ready to film.

Production

During the production I had to make up a lot of questions on the fly. That way I could get good through answers from Noelle. I  learned that if I am interviewing someone then I should not pass the microphone back and forth between me and the person that I am interviewing. I ruins the interview a little bit and is not visually pleasing. I also thing my skills on making up questions improved which can help me in any setting. I also learned where to plug the microphone into the camera.

Post-Production

I learned a lot when I edited. I used tools I had never used before such as the razor tool. I used the razor tool to cut out any stutters or long pauses in the video. It took a rally long time to edit my video because I had to figure out how to make the video as short as possible while still getting all the information I needed to the audience. I mastered all of the five guarantees I used my Technical Skills to help my team use the camera. I used collaboration, leadership, and communication by communicating with my teammates and by helping them with certain little things they needed help on while setting an example of them. My whole team used project management in order to get everything in on time. I would do almost everything the same. I think we did everything in an orderly fashion and it looked good too. I would just change my original edit. I didn't like how all of the B-Roll clips were like all put together in one spot and it went by really fast. I will know that so not time I will not make the B-Roll clips go by too quickly.  I overall did not really care for this project but I still had fun making the videos and working with others.
